Somewhat Settled

Finally, we are somewhat settled. I feel like I can try and get into a routine again. We have had alot of stress, frustrations and joys all in this 2nd move in the last 5 months. There are plenty of odds and ends to complete in this house, but I have time, so I am going to take my time wrapping up all of this. I am actually quite tired of it all and really just want to live a little and worry about the odds and ends later. I'm having somewhat of a hard time adjusting to living at headquarters. I really haven't had this many neighbors in quite some time. It is really busy around here and I don't feel very private anymore. But I'm sure I will get over it. I hope I do.... Here is a cute update on Bronc Baby that Mom made from her last visit. Click to play this Smilebox newsletter Create your own newsletter - Powered by Smilebox

Look at me I can sit up all by myself!! Grandma Rice and Morgan swinging with Bronc Baby
Thanks to all of our helpers for getting us moved once again. Hopefully we won't have to think about that for a long time to come. I know that our home wouldn't be near complete without the help of friends and family. Love you all!!

Moving.. Did I forget to mention

We are moving, did I forget to mention that... No, I mentioned it last time I blogged. Sorry it has been several days. I have been quite busy, driving to Lubbock to get stuff to redo the casa, painting, tearing up things, doing a little electrical work, not huge, just hanging fans and light fixtures... oh ya and trying to do all of this with a child is not easy might I add. Whew, I am one tired person these days. Bronc doesn't help with matters either, it's like he is an infant again. Every two hours he is up, his little internal clock is major stuck...... So, I introduced cereal to him and we will see if that helps. That is pretty much my life right at this point for the next few weeks, redecorating the house and moving.
If this doesn't make you smile I don't know what would!!!!!

Until next time...

News Flash

We are moving again.........OMG we must be crazy, in four months time. We aren't moving away from the ranch, just moving to Headquarters. I am really quite sad the more I think about it. I love this house, our little home and my peace and quiet, not to mention our privacy. But, we must move on to bigger and better things. Not real sure about that either. The owner of Tongue River really wants to promote the horses. So, Tyler is going to focus on riding the good horses and show them. No more camp work, no more checking cows/calfs, no more checking water or putting out mineral, etc, etc.. He will still help with the branding season and also he will take care of the cattle that they turn out on wheat! Yea Wheaties!! He is quite excited...I am to a certain extent....I just don't want to move and we are downsizing on the casa.. Boo hoo.... O.K. I will quit whining now. So here is a picture of my flowers that I am leaving now. Boo hoo again. They kinda already have the other house landscaped, but I'm thinking I am going to have to do some more stuff to it. It's just roses, and I'm not much on roses... Just wait flowerbeds, you are mine next spring.

Zinnias and other fun wildflowers..

Farewell my cute yard and house...onto smaller things! Ha!

Last nights rainbow

Look Grandma Gillit, Bronc's sporting his Texas Rangers T-shirt!! Thanks he is so cute in it.

Sitting up like a big boy in the big boy rocker!!
I guess now the fun begins, packing and moving. Oh yeah, did I mention I am going to paint to. Extra work that isn't on my agenda. Guess I don't have anything else to do but move every 4 months. Really it will be just fine, I am just whining again. Oops, tata for now.

This and That

Ivy and Rockstar out and about last night, it was a really cool evening. Fall is upon us!!Yesterday Bronc decided it was time to start sitting up. He does really well, he is a little wobbly to the sides so I put his boppy pillow around him and he sat really great! Yea!!! Look at me!! Big Boy!!
Bronc on the front porch with Daddy!
He loved the Orange Marigolds, he kept picking them off the plant. Silly Boy!
Bronc and Uncle Tell
He loves his Uncle Tell Bell!!
O.K. I really did take maybe four pictures the whole weekend. So here are the four that I took at the Wichita Falls Ranch Rodeo. This is before the rodeo.
Bronc rooting on Tongue River Ranch in his TRR onsie!! Yea!!
Overall, Tongue River didn't fair well in the rodeo. Tyler won the Bronc riding both nights and won the average. He also was named Reserve Top Hand!! Way to go Tyler!! We also entered the chuckwagon cooking and photography contest. We ended up 3rd in Photography, 1st in black eyed peas and 3rd in the meatloaf. So overall, we did o.k. and really had a great time. It was pretty miserable in the heat category, they said it was 108 in Wichita Falls on Saturday. Whew and it felt like it to....
Tyler accepting his Reserve Top Hand spurs, he also won another pair of spurs for the Bronc Riding. The little tuckered out Bronc. He did not enjoy the rodeo much, it was really loud and he didn't like it one bit. So, I did alot of walking during the rodeo. Fun, fun!!! The things mother's do for their little ones!!

Once again I failed to take pictures this past weekend at Wichita Falls Ranch Rodeo, so I will get some pictures from the girls and then blog. We had an exciting and fun time along with some great wins in different events. Until next time!!

Smores and more

We had a fun evening last Friday. We went to Amy's house, she is Tongue Rivers secretary. Her husband works for T.D. Kelsey and they live on his ranch east of Guthrie. T.D. is an amazing artist and sculptor. Check out some of his work. It is truely amazing. This Longhorn was on the side of the barn and the bull was so lifelike.
I had Morgan stand next to this horse to give you an idea on how huge this horse was!!
What a wreck that would be, by the way this piece goes for 67 grand whoppers! Wow!
Thats what I'm talking about!
So we started off our evening playing the nintendo wii. I had never played it before. Here is Tyler and Gage bowling, Gage beat Tyler! I boxed Lottie in a boxing match and TKO'ed her!! I might add that the hula hoop game jacked my lower back up, but it feels much better now.
Amy and Bronc baby

We had a fun steak cookout and also made Smores!! Yummy!!
Amy and her girls enjoying the Smores! Our actual purpose for hanging out at Amy's was to build a fence for our photography entry at the Wichita Falls Ranch Rodeo this coming weekend. Tyler, Gage and Clell, which is Amy's husband, were nice enough to build our fence for us. Here is a sneek peak at our pictures. They turned out awesome. We all contributed photos as a group project so we have a ton of cool photos.
Starting the fence. The blister bugs were horrible that night. Crawling all over us..............
We had suprise visitors at our casa Sunday. The Brunson's stopped by on their way to a wedding. Here is Kale holding Bronc!

Summer days at the Rancho

We are still loving every minute here at the Ranch. What a blessing. I tell myself this just about daily. God really opens and closes certain doors in our lives when needed. He really has great timing. Here are a few pictures of the Tongue River crew enjoying a hot summer morning out at the roundpen.
Tyler and "Medicine Man". This is the ranches new stud that they got in the early spring. He is out of Mecom Blue, we had a colt out of this same stud and he was awesome. This is Tyler's first ride on him. He was trained prior to coming to the ranch. Let me just say, Tyler fell in looovvveee with him. He gets to rodeo on him and is going to show him as well. He is so excited!! I am too!!
My lil buddy Cutter. He loves him some Bronc Baby! I miss you guys! The Jone's family left Tongue River to go work at another ranch. We are super sad...
Amy, Hottie Lottie, Cutter, Bronc and Casen hanging out above the round pen!!Tyler down below! Ha!Stoney and Ryan roping on sale colts. This is Ryan, please say a prayer for him. He got bucked off Saturday and fractured 4 transverse processes in his lumbar spine. Wish him well!
