Red Dirt Country
Red Dirt Country....and I'm not talking about the music. I am talking about the red dirt that seems to be a regular part of our weather patterns here lately. No joke, we have been having two to three major wind storms every month since December. In turn this creates a major Dust Out. Red dirt plus wind equals Dust Out. I'm frankly getting tired of this dirt. My grass is being smothered with it, thus there is beginning to just be dirt instead of grass. Our vehicles stay dirty, my house stays dirty, my front and back porches stay dirty. Everything is dirty and dusty. I had to work in it this past Saturday and it just plain ol' sucked!! If the rain would fall I think our dust might just go away. But that will have to be some good soakers because we are in a drought if ya didn't know.
Down below are some pictures of my drive home from work during our dust storm.
Here is Bronc pretend fishing for gooey fish. They are a type of fish on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!! He was so funny. He made his own fishing pole and then was doing some serious fishing.
We made a quick trip up to Dumas and Tucker was entertained by Spirit.

The Dust and Dirt
I love this verse and wanted to share it. I think of it often when I am needing some strength in my daily life.
Signing out with a wink!!

Mi Familia
Mi Familia...I love my three Cowboy's. I just can't get enough of them. They bring a smile to my heart. I feel blessed to have these Cowboy's in my life.
I knew when I married Tyler almost 12 years ago that he would be a wonderful Daddy. Kids have always been so drawn to him, like a magnet. It was natural for him and is now. These boy's are his number one top priority when he gets home. It doesn't matter that he has been working 16 hours days non-stop since November. He prevails and plays with our boy's for hours every evening.
I just love pictures of my man doing what he does best...whether it be horse showing, roping, riding a bronc, ranch rodeoing or just plain ol' cowboying. It makes me just love him over and over again. He truly does what he loves and I love him for that. Doing what makes him the happiest.
The other day my friend said, Bronc looks just like you and Tucker looks like a Native American Indian. I just laughed at her..I do have some Indian in me on down the line..lol
These boys still love their milk
I am still working on house projects. Slowly but surely. Counter tops is what I have been tackling. I found this counter top paint and decided to give it a try. I am amazed!! I love it and it saved me a ton of money. We will see how it holds up.

Tadah!! This is before the top coat was applied. But doesn't it look so good!!
I still have to do the other side of the kitchen now. Then I will have my back splashes put up!! New carpet is in my near future!! I can't wait for new carpet!!

Bronc is already filling Daddy's hat..Tyler does have an abnormally small head for an adult man... 6 7/8...lol...Bronc has a bit to go on the boots!!

The Blizzard of 2013
So yes, we had a Blizzard in the Texas Panhandle the end of February 2013. I was supposed to work that Monday, but I work on a Semi-Mobile MRI Rig. We don't usually travel in bad weather with that rig. So I was pretty sure if the weather man got it right that I wouldn't be working.... I was right, we had two snow days off in fact!! So the night before the blizzard, I whipped up some sweet roll dough to make Tyler his favorite rolls. I went ahead and got up early like I was going to work. But I got the call, so I got the Orange Rolls ready for breakfast. They were delish.
The morning of the blizzard...it was cray cray...crazy is what I mean!!
Wouldn't ya know it, we are watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!
Pepto jumping the drifts in the front yard
Snow White Beauty
Tyler actually took the day off during the blizzard. He thought he was good to go. All of his wheat pasture cattle were on barb wire pastures. Ahem.....NOT...those cattle of course traveled south as far as they could go and then pushed on one another and it busted the gate open. So he had 1200 head out all over the country. Thank goodness the other 1800 didn't get out. The last 3 weeks have been busy, they found all of the cattle and only had 5 deads out of those set of cattle.
Bronc and I went out and played after the snow quit blowing. He loved it. I laughed and laughed at him. He was so funny. He would jump up in the air and land face first in the snow and make reverse snow angels. Crazy boy.
The drifts through out our wind break of trees was so cool. It blew in mounds, up and down. That was fun playing in. Tyler said when he was little he used to dig tunnels through them. We will have to try that next time we get a major snow.
The snow drifted in our arena. It made the coolest shapes and forms. Kinda cave like on some of the drifts.
5 foot drifts. The pipe here is 5 ft tall.
The snow was the perfect snowman buidling type of snow. So we
built a snowman...I mean snow-Grandma!! LOL!!
See the hair do. I tried to make Tyler's Mom into a snow-Grandma!
Of course Bronc wanted to ride her. He said Momma, I want to ride it. So this is what we got done!
This is in Amarillo. I can't figure out how all these people were dumb enough to drive in the snow. Its like all of a sudden it was to late and they all got stuck.
Bronc cooking up some grub..pretend grub that is
