Christmas 2014

We all had some form of illness during Christmas time.  That was a bummer.  The boys both had colds as well as Rachelle, Tyler had a stomach bug, and I had some virus with a fever.  We still celebrated with Christmas Eve snacks.  Tyler requested a pumpkin pie, so I made one for him!
This was our Christmas Eve spread.

The boys in their new plane pajamas.  They were tracking Santa.
Cookies for Santa.
Merry Christmas Eve.

Happy Boys! Good morning Christmas cuties.
Tucker got his first pair of spurs.
Bronc got a new pair of leggings.
I got this beautiful skull from Tyler.
Tyler got a new Indian headband.  Not really, he had a nice Christmas as well.  I have been saving news articles, photos, back numbers, bronc and rodeo pictures for ten years now.  I made Tyler a scrapbook of his rodeo career for Christmas.  He was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed his gift!
The boys and Ivy enjoying their new Gator.
Building stuff with Daddy.
The day after Christmas we took the boys to say farewell to Santa and ride the Polar Express.

My Mom and Grandma Linda joined us as well.

The boys loved it.  We might just make it an annual trip.

We were blessed with a nice Christmas.  Love family time and the Holidays.

December Happenings

Most of December was just preparing for Christmas and finally some down time for Tyler.  We have enjoyed having him around.  Typically it is dark to dark that he is gone working at the yard.  So we have really enjoyed some Tyler time.  We have been playing games, reading books and lots of playtime with the boys.

Bronc playing Davy Crockett.
Batman and Toodletuck.  Yes we play in our jammies's.
Nearly everyday we have a rodeo in the house.  We have to play the National Anthem and then buck horses out.
Christmas lights at dusk.
We went to an ugly sweater Christmas party.
I took a trip right before Christmas to pick up Tucker's new pony.  Meet Rusty!
He loved him.  He even got mad at Tyler for riding him.
Proud moments.  First horse is always a big one!

Las Vegas 2014

We took our annual trip to Las Vegas for the NFR thanks to the Vet Supply we do business with.  We left on a Wednesday and flew back Saturday afternoon.
We flew into Vegas right next to the strip.
We stayed at the MGM Grand again.
Wednesday evening we went to the NFR with some friends of ours Phil and Cynthia.  Ryan and Krislyn also joined us.  Phil and Cynthia have been like another set of parents/grandparents to us.  They are some of our very favorite people.

We also went to the rodeo Thursday evening with the Vet Supply!
Tyler sporting Efrain's glasses.
Tyler was quite comical during our visit.  I finally had had enough and told him I needed one day of normalcy.  Lol.  He obliged and we enjoyed a calm last day in Vegas.

The old strip is very entertaining.  Lots of people watching going on.
Tyler and a few other people zip lined down over Freemont street.
This summed up Vegas fairly well.
Our last full day we slept in, shopped, walked around the strip and just enjoyed a calm nice day!
This Grinch was in the Aria Hotel.  He was made of modeling chocolate and fondant.
This store we visited was full of amazing artwork and sculptures.
This ivory carving was on sale for a million dollars.  On sale! Really! That is not my type of sale for sure!
We enjoyed our stay in Vegas.  I am always glad to come back to the normal ways of life.  Vegas is like a dream world.  I am glad for our simple ways of life!

Making Memories Day by Day

Time for my sporadic photo dump. I truly love all the photos I take of our boys.  I simply can't post them all.  So I like to post my favorites in one post time after time.  I create an annual Shutterfly book for each year and also print my blog every other year. I love having memories and fun books to look at. My memory doesn't serve me well it seems as I grow older.  So I am glad to have these albums for help!
The boys love playing with all of Tyler's tractors from when he was a kid!
Ivy has been enjoying being in the house on our colder days.  She was born with congenital hip dysplasia, so her hips really bother her when it is colder.

I managed to get my Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving! The boys had fun playing under the tree.
We had some fun entertainment at Thanksgiving.  We enjoyed Thanksgiving this year with the Townsend's.
Thanksgiving number two at Tyler's Grandparents.
Tucker enjoyed wearing our Christmas stockings most of December.

This kid loves him some crab.  Gets it from his Daddy.
Oh my Tucker, how you make us laugh.
Brother love!
Best kid dog around in my book.  She puts up with most anything.  Ivy is a gem.
I typically keep my blog private.  I opened it up for the Christmas exchange.  I am planning on making it private again. So If you enjoy reading my blog please send me your email and I will be glad to add you.
