Ski Trip With The Hubby

Tyler and I took a ski trip to Colorado recently.  We decided to fly since it would take two full days of driving to get there.
My Babe and I.
We arrived in Colorado around noon.
We got a rental car at the airport and drove up to Arrowhead Village/Beaver Creek.
The home was absolutely stunning.  Here are just a few pictures of it.

Our cattle guy and about nine other people were supposed to join us.  It ended up being just Tyler and I.  It would have been fun for a group of people, but we still really enjoyed our time there.
I planned a movie date for Tyler and I the first evening there.  We drove into Vail to the Cinebistro for our date.
It was a really cool experience.  You are seated in a dining room type theater.  The waiting staff come and take your orders before the movie.  Then they deliver your food right before the movie starts.  It was a delicious meal crafted by their chefs. Tyler ordered bone in ribeye and I had a pasta dish.  It was really delicious.  We watched The American Sniper.  Fantastic movie, a little potty mouth talk goes on often, but it was cool to see the story of Chris Kyle.
So we hit the slopes for only part of one day.  My silly ankle was acting up and causing me much grief.  I was pretty bummed as this was the main reason we went on this trip.  Tyler was perfectly fine with just relaxing, eating good food and enjoying the mountains.  So that is exactly what we did.
The next day we traveled into Beaver Creek Village and had lunch at the Dusty Boot Grill.  Tyler had the Elk burger and I had a Angus burger.  Very delicious.  We walked around the village and then headed back to the house.
Roundabouts......I became quite tired of the roundabouts.  Do you know what a roundabout is? Well I did because there is one, just one in Clovis, NM that you go around down this certain street.  They are everywhere from Vail back to Beaver Creek then into Edwards.  Apparently they are to help traffic flow smoothly. I for one as a tourist have to disagree.  When trying to find your way around the village's, roundabouts can really get confusing.  Especially when using navigation to helpful find your destination.  I dislike roundabouts!!  This particular roundabout had a cool tree lit up red, white and blue.
The snow out the back window.
We stopped in a fun diner for breakfast on our last day in Colorado.
Flying home over the gorgeous Rocky Mountains.
Blurry picture here, but here are two happy, excited little boys.  They were so glad to see us and had to have a tussle with Daddy.  We enjoyed our time in Colorado.  It always feels good to come home to the kids and get back to normal!

Days Of Our Lives

In between the two good snows we had in January, we had some really pleasant days.  We took time to enjoy the days outside and play.
The boys helping me with errands.  Every time you say smile for the camera, Tucker closes his eyes and smiles.
The boys helping Tyler put out hay before the next snow.
Old man winter powdered us with snow again.
Ivy is so funny.  She was burrowing her head in the snow, maybe she was looking for a critter?!

Playing in the drifts and what's left of the snow.

Silly boys.

I spy Bronc and Tucker.

We have really enjoyed our snows.  Very thankful for the moisture.  The snows we have had have been very wet.  I love winter, it is one of my favorite seasons!

A New Year

I simply cannot believe that 2015 is here and that Bronc is on the verge of turning 5 and becoming a student in the fall.  I have been thinking about it a great deal and it makes me very sad that this time has come.  It doesn't seem possible that we have a child of school age already.
Tuck loves dressing up as Woody.
The boys playing in the trailer.
Tucker trying out Rusty.
The boys out for an afternoon ride.
Tucker loves wearing Tyler's ear flap cap.
We had a perfect 7 inches of snowfall.   It fell with no wind and straight down.

We had a great time playing in the snow.
We tubed down the dirt pile.

Built a snowman.
The dogs had a blast running and playing in it.
Our beautiful Bullet dog.
Oh broncers.  How I Love You!

We tubed behind the four wheeler.

I even tubed. Tyler made the rope longer when I got on and he spun me around so fast it threw me off.  I slid on my back about ten yards and nearly hit a tree.  The three of them laughed and laughed at me. They said it was pretty comical.
A beautiful sunset to end a perfect day in the snow.
We recently had the opportunity to invest in a leather shop.  The man that owned it passed away. It was a really great price and we partnered with his grandson. Funny thing, when Tyler was a teenager he worked there.  I told Tyler our life seems to roll around in a circle.  Several ways our life has turned out revolves around things that we have dealt with back in the day.  Our starter yard and now the leather shop.  I love God's intentions and pathways he has set for us.  He reveals them as he sees fit.  The timing has been amazing.  Perfect prayers and patience bring us so many blessings.
I have even begun to learn how to build stuff.  I really enjoy it and can see it being something I continue to learn how to do.
The boys really have been enjoying their time at the shop to.
Here is to new beginnings, straighter pathways, happy hearts and a 2015 to look forward to!
