Las Vegas 2014

We took our annual trip to Las Vegas for the NFR thanks to the Vet Supply we do business with.  We left on a Wednesday and flew back Saturday afternoon.
We flew into Vegas right next to the strip.
We stayed at the MGM Grand again.
Wednesday evening we went to the NFR with some friends of ours Phil and Cynthia.  Ryan and Krislyn also joined us.  Phil and Cynthia have been like another set of parents/grandparents to us.  They are some of our very favorite people.

We also went to the rodeo Thursday evening with the Vet Supply!
Tyler sporting Efrain's glasses.
Tyler was quite comical during our visit.  I finally had had enough and told him I needed one day of normalcy.  Lol.  He obliged and we enjoyed a calm last day in Vegas.

The old strip is very entertaining.  Lots of people watching going on.
Tyler and a few other people zip lined down over Freemont street.
This summed up Vegas fairly well.
Our last full day we slept in, shopped, walked around the strip and just enjoyed a calm nice day!
This Grinch was in the Aria Hotel.  He was made of modeling chocolate and fondant.
This store we visited was full of amazing artwork and sculptures.
This ivory carving was on sale for a million dollars.  On sale! Really! That is not my type of sale for sure!
We enjoyed our stay in Vegas.  I am always glad to come back to the normal ways of life.  Vegas is like a dream world.  I am glad for our simple ways of life!

Making Memories Day by Day

Time for my sporadic photo dump. I truly love all the photos I take of our boys.  I simply can't post them all.  So I like to post my favorites in one post time after time.  I create an annual Shutterfly book for each year and also print my blog every other year. I love having memories and fun books to look at. My memory doesn't serve me well it seems as I grow older.  So I am glad to have these albums for help!
The boys love playing with all of Tyler's tractors from when he was a kid!
Ivy has been enjoying being in the house on our colder days.  She was born with congenital hip dysplasia, so her hips really bother her when it is colder.

I managed to get my Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving! The boys had fun playing under the tree.
We had some fun entertainment at Thanksgiving.  We enjoyed Thanksgiving this year with the Townsend's.
Thanksgiving number two at Tyler's Grandparents.
Tucker enjoyed wearing our Christmas stockings most of December.

This kid loves him some crab.  Gets it from his Daddy.
Oh my Tucker, how you make us laugh.
Brother love!
Best kid dog around in my book.  She puts up with most anything.  Ivy is a gem.
I typically keep my blog private.  I opened it up for the Christmas exchange.  I am planning on making it private again. So If you enjoy reading my blog please send me your email and I will be glad to add you.

These Boys

These boys melt my heart on a daily basis.  They are my precious little loves.
So many moments shared with them that fill my heart with happiness and love.
Tyler and I are so blessed to have these two awesome little boys!

Secret Santa Blogger Present Arrived

I received my Christmas in the Country present yesterday! I was so excited it came from Utah! I had no idea who got me, but learned it was Jessy from www.larkandfox.wordpress.com

She sent me a postcard from the Dinosaur National Monument with a nice message.  In her message she said feel free to open before Christmas.  Well of course I couldn't wait!

My presents wrapped all nice and neat!

This girl did fantastic picking my gifts. I jumped up and down because my new coffee mug was the bomb! A Pendleton mug that holds a ton of coffee and she even said a can of soup as well! I also got some new coffee to sample as well as this awesome Christmas tree ornament!
Good morning cup of Joe!  This made me happy!
Thank you Jessy from the Texas Panhandle.  I absolutely love my gifts.  They fit me to a tee! It was fun making a new long distance friend that I hope to keep up with!  Merry Christmas!

Christmas in the Country 2014

This year I am participating in a blog exchange.  I believe there are 69 total blogs that are participating across the U.S. And Canada.  We had to submit our favorite things and a little about ourselves.  Then the organizers select myself a blogger to send a present to.  I then send a Christmas gift to them via mail secretly until they open my gifts! It will be exciting to see who received me as their secret blogger friend.  Merry Christmas!

2014 WRCA Finals

The WRCA finals arrived yet once again.  Every year it seems it gets here faster and faster.  Sandhill Cattle Co. qualified so we got to enjoy the four day festivities in Amarillo. I took the boys to get new felt hats.  They enjoyed playing in the saddle chairs.  The little toots ended up not wearing their new hats at all.  They wanted their straw hats.  I guess a broke in hat feels better than a stiff one!

My blogger friend Rachel and her family came to the rodeo.  We really enjoyed our boys getting to play! She has four boys! Bless her! She is tough.
The guys fixing to rope in stray gathering.

So this guy won both rounds of the bronc riding and the average.  He made two awesome rides on Harry Vold bronc's.  He makes it look so easy.  He rides with class and style.  I was one proud wifey.  Tyler won the Bronc riding average in 2007 and now seven years later at age 36.  He told me he thought he would never get it done again.  He was blessed with two amazing rides and scores.

Sandhill ended up 6th overall out of 24 teams.  They made quite the comeback after two no times.  We enjoyed our trip to the finals and hope to make it back next year.
