Time for a Break!

After all of our moving I thought it was time for our usual ski trip.  I was in need of some major mountain time and snow.  As well as a little Rest & Relaxation!!  Tyler ended up not coming because his ankle was still under the weather, so he finished up moving the last load of stuff at the ranch.  Here is a beautiful mountain sunset at Angel Fire, NM.  Fixing to hit up some major night skiing!!
I would like you to meet one of my best friends in the world, Linda Lou Whoooo
We actually were having our 2nd year best friend Anniversary...isn't that sweet!!  I met Linda through a mutual friend and just have been the best of friends since!!
This picture is when we are fixing to sail down the mountain in the dark!!
Our last day of skiing and enjoying fresh powder!!
We were so happy when we woke up to fresh snow!!  Awesomeness!

I would like to introduce you again but to the future Mr. and Mrs. Flowers.  Yes, Linda got engaged the week before we went skiing so we kinda were celebrating that to!!  And of course I had to get my Seal of Approval in on the deal to.  I had never met Clay, so it was important that he like me to or else there might be a problem or 20, seeing how Linda is my best bud and all.  He got a big YES STAMP from me, so way to go you two!!

I wasn't a happy camper here.  We got us something warm to drink after skiing and man did it ever taste like hot doodey.  It was the worst Bloody Mary ever.
The storm rolling in on our last day.  They got an additional 18 inches of snow after we left, were were sad to leave...
Meet the gourmet Russian/Spy cook for the evening.  I was making fun of Linda's Russian looking beanie snow hat, and she was like, It keeps me so warm when its really cold and snowing.  I was like, it is soo ugly.  So I put it on and put my private eye earpiece in (mp3 earphones in).  So happens my pajama pants kinda played the part to.  They were laughing and making fun of me.  But I was secretly making fun of Linda..hehe...  Anyhoo, needless to say the Russian/Spy Cook whipped up some pretty good steaks and all the fixings to go with it!
On our way home from Angel Fire, frozen lug nuts and Ol' Grey

Cant wait for the next trip to the mountains!!

A wrapup of January

Welcome to our New Year and also the end of yet another adventure.  January was filled mainly with packing, loading, hauling and moving back to our place in P-ville..as I call it.  We did get to have a little fun, despite all the moving!  We went to the Fort Worth Ranch Rodeo with Tongue River Ranch.  That was alot of fun, Tyler ended up getting hurt..Yes, yes I know we must make that an annual event.  He is ok now, he injured his tendon between the tibia and fibula bones.  It is on the mend, he still is a little slow moving in the mornings and if he moves it or twists it a certain way it hurts.  Other than that he is fine.  Tell and Tyler won the Bronc Riding and Tyler's Horse Rockstar won Top Horse!!  So that was cool.

Isn't the coolest rocking horse ever.  It is displayed at the Leddy Boot shop in the Fort Worth Stockyards.  The saddle is handmade and so is the horse.  His mane and tail are made of real horse hair.  We talked to one of the workers in that store and they said that it was priced at $5000.00 just for the horse and then the saddle was like $2500 bucks.  Can you imagine purchasing this little horse for 75 hundred buckaroos??  I would rather have the real thing!!  But it was pretty awesome.

January accomplishments for Bronc:

9 Months Old weighing in at 22.5 pounds
Started to Clap and got his first tooth on the 20th
2nd tooth came in on the 27th

Many more for February to come!!!

The End of the Year and the Beginning of a NEW YEAR!!

Playing Catch Up on My Blog!

I haven't really blogged in quite sometime.  As most of you know we have been in the process of packing and moving again.  We moved back to our place near Plainview the last week in January, so I haven't had much time to blog.  Packing and unpacking is a chore with a child and also since I did most of it by myself this time.  I finally got our house back to normal last week, and man does it feel good!! Now I can focus on getting the yard whipped back in shape for spring plantings!! Flowers are in my near future!!  So I think I left off around Christmas time on my blog.  We had 4 different Christmas celebrations for 2010 and that was enough!!  Grandpa Doug came to visit us at Tongue River, what a treat!!  Santa stocked up his pickup full of great presents for Bronc!! Bronc had fun opening presents, he was mainly fascinated with the bows and of course the toys!!
My Mom came to have Christmas with us at the ranch as well.  She actually came during Christmas.  I ended up with an awful stomach bug and was sick the entire Christmas weekend.  I didn't really get to enjoy the festivities due to me and the toilet having an awful close relationship.  Yuck!! No fun.  Other than that it was nice to have Mom there to celebrate Bronc's first Christmas.

Our next festivity was Christmas at Tyler's mothers house.  Wes and Rachelle came down from Colorado and we had a fun time there.  I was well from the bug but then poor Bronc Baby got the same crud that I had during that Christmas celebration.  So that wasn't fun, I don't wish that upon any little child.
Bronc loves the bows and tries to eat them!!

Organic Lollipops....Tyler and Bronc got two packages of these.. They have this lollipop thing thangy thang!!  I told Tyler I don't want Bronc to be a Sugar Addict like we are, but I think it is hopeless with us around.  Organic makes me feel a little better, but still its sugar, organic that is.. Anyhoo, they have enjoyed the lollipops thus far!!
Tyler got another pair of Sketchers for Christmas.  This has become an annual gift from me, he wears those shoes out just as bad as his boots.
Here is cute little Abbie and her preggo belly around Christmas time.  She is due anytime now, we are soo excited to meet Flint Wesley Good!!

So on to our last Christmas paaarrtttaaayyy.. We went to Aunt Anna's for Christmas/New Years Day on New years day!!  For Christmas we gave Aunt Joan some goodies wrapped up in multiple boxes if ya know what I mean.  Several boxes wrapped with smaller boxes inside each.  She was quite confused, it was funny. She would open one box and get a goodie and then another wrapped package...
Onto the next box she opens....
 And the next....
Aunt Joan was like..Oh cuticle cream!!  Then Anna replied back, I think there is something else in the box rather than cuticle cream... Aunt Joan was like OOOhhh???!!!  If you know her she likes to say O alot!! It's cute.
And finally the grand finale... Merry Christmas Aunt Joan, THE RICE'S ARE MOVING BACK TO PLAINVIEW..  It was really funny!!  She was so excited.  We had told most of the family, but kept it a secret so we could suprise her for Christmas.  Pretty darn cute she was!!

Hola, long lost friends!!!!

You probably thought I would never blog again!! Guess again!! We have been busy PACKING AGAIN... I am becoming a pro at it and don't even get paid for it. Yes I said packing, we are moving again for the 3rd time since May of 2010. Wow, every 4 months. I told Tyler we are NOT doing this again ever! We are moving back to Plainview, the old rancho at Tongue River just wasn't for us. Thank goodness we still have our home to go back to. I guess it doesn't hurt to try new adventures. Here is a recent picture of Bronc Baby and I at the Ft. Worth Ranch Rodeo. I will post more after while!! Hope all is well with you guys!
