Fall Works

Fall works began about two and a half weeks ago. For those of you that don't know what that is I will tell ya. The guys go out on the wagon from camp to camp with the remuda (saddle horses), tee-pees and rough it until they get done. They have a cook that cooks under the fly with this wagon here. He cooks with dutch ovens like old style!! They basically are gathering the Mamma Cows and weaning their babies off of them. They vaccinate and de-worm and then turn the cows back out. In the spring this will happen again, but it will be to brand the new babies. And history repeats itself. This is the fly where the cowboys gather around and eat their meals and shoot the bull.

Here is Tyler in the lead trotting the remuda to the last camp for the fall works. And let me tell ya, the guys are so glad to be done with the wagon. Can you imagine not getting to shower on a regular basis??
The horses passing through Dumont.
All the colors!

This was kinda funny. There was a stop sign on the right and Tyler was telling the horses to stop. Go figure...
